PIIShield is an open source library designed to assist machine learning researchers, developers, and business owners in building applications and conducting analysis while protecting privacy.

Different from traditional entity recognition, our library provides guidance, modules, and rules by using LLM to detect and redact Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in compliance with data protection laws including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
